'Fierce' is the word I would use to sum up Eva Petrova.
Eva is a strong and capable young woman who is exceedingly independent and dislikes relying on others. She is trained to kill, deceive and analyse all in the space of a few seconds and she doesn't even need any weapons to do it.
Eva is fiercely passionate and loyal, mainly to her country, the motherland (Russia) but also to those she considers close allies or friends. However, when it comes to romance, she has never been in a meaningful relationship, she has only ever used sex as a tool to get information. She is extremely strategic and intelligent which allows her to manipulate situations to her advantage via deception. She will analyse every ounce of the situation or people around her without them even realising she is doing it. Lying is one of her main skills, being trained in the art of deception as a spy, she has a very good poker face. Her calm and polite persona is just an act, though she does value manners and a code of honour, she has a fiery temper. Years of training as a spy has helped her learn to manage and control it for the motherland, but the prison environment might just push her over the edge -- so beware. Eva doesn't like confined spaces, she's claustrophobic and though she may seem sweet and reserved on the outside, she is a ticking time bomb underneath.
Eva Petrova was originally born in Russia in 1993 but moved to America when she was 14 after being trained as a spy / secret agent since she was 4. Her name was changed to Evangeline Baudelaire and she constructed a new identity for herself, hiding within the USA's society. One minute, she was an esteemed and wealthy heiress, the next, a maid. Whichever role she was required to play, she played to gather information and to slowly bring down the American government.
Eva is currently a part of a mafia gang who still holds a grudge against America for happenings during the Cold War. Secretly they seek to take down the USA's government and for the country to fall into anarchy - all for the motherland.
On Eva's latest mission, to assassinate a Government official, she reached a crossroads. She could either fulfill her purpose and murder the man as intended but get caught in the process, or walk away. She had analysed the situation and worked out that there would be no going back from this one. For her country, she stepped out from her hiding place and cracked the mans neck. His body fell limp to the floor as officers grabbed and cuffed her.
