Cale could see the brightness of the sun even before he opened his eyes, 'ugh, someone shut the curtains..' he mumbled as he turned over in his sleep, grasping for blankets that weren't there. He groaned as he opened his eyes, sitting bolt upright as he remembered where he was.
Cale looked around, I'm still in prison, right?, he thought, confused as he was outside for the first time in months.
He stared up at the sky and suddenly all the frustrations Cale had about how twisted this place really was finally bubbled to the surface. He breathed in deep and yelled at the top of his lungs, 'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!'
He collapsed back on the ground and sighed, 'this place is so messed up..' he whispered to himself as he closed his eyes again, not wanting to see too much of the outside world as he knew he'd only pine for it more when he was eventually returned to his cell.
