{TTW} On the Other Side

Meg realized Chel must have been talking about a lost sister or even daughter. It seemed like a subject she shouldn't push much. To say he didn't have much longer...they were all going to die eventually. Was there any chance they could die out of this prison? Out in the world with normal people instead of one crazy psycho? "The other side...it's so far, yet so close to us." She thought of her parents, their faces have turned to a complete blur. Now they were just a presence instead of a memory. Maybe soon she can be with them again.

"Always is, even for the normal folks." Chel shrugged, even if Meg couldn't see it. "We just have a significantly higher chance of an early crossing. Not that I had any illusions to the contrary for myself." Honestly, she was surprised she'd made it this far. Well, she'd just keep fighting until Korso got frustrated, gave up and put a fucking bullet in her head himself. Nothing less would destroy her.

"It seems like he's just dragging this out. If he wanted to, we all would have been dead months ago. It's just the torture...using our new found relationships to destroy us even more." Sick bastard. Korso had to have some major psychological problems to go to such an extent.

"He certainly likes to play with his food. Probably doesn't have much of a life, so this counts as his soap opera." Chel rolled her eyes, not bothered if Korso might be taking offense to any of this. Hell, he was probably enjoying it. The sick fuck.

"Oh well...it will end soon." Meg played with her hair, rolling it between her fingers. It might be better to just let it end soon then try to survive.

"Either way. yeah." Chel agreed, closing her eyes. There was still some hope that someone might be curious about how quickly and how many prisoners were dying, and pop over to check on things. Whether someone would be left or not, she was uncertain.

Meg leaned down and fumbled with the lock on the chest. What was inside of it? She had nothing to try and open it so she gave up and leaned back against the wall. Tulio was still alseep and she had no more ideas for her conversation with Chel. "Do you know how long it's been since that game?"

"Nope, not really. Might be weeks. Hard to tell time in here." Chel said. It felt like an eternity since they first arrived.

"Yeah it is.." Meg fluffed a pillow in her hands before setting it down in her lap.
