Helga finally pinned up the last balloon on the top of the banner. She hopped off the small ladder and sighed, looking at the decorations it took hours for her to put up. The iron gate creaked open and Helga turned to meet Dimitri and Meg coming in.
"I hope we didn't miss anything," Dimitri said, placing a brightly wrapped gift on the picnic table.
Helga smiled and walked over to the couple to greet them. "You both look wonderful," she cried cheerfully, hugging them. "Eva should be back here any moment from the gym." She walked over to the crowd of people standing in the yard talking and sipping on their drinks. Helga checked her phone and smiled. "T-minus five minutes before Eva arrives." She yelled.
Megara walked over to Helga and put her arm on her shoulder. "This must've taken forever to decorate." She said, giving a small laugh.
Helga smirked and took a look at the brightly decorated yard. She woke up early right after Eva left to go workout and rushed to the store, buying all the decorations she could find. She spent nearly four hours plastering the yard with balloons, streamers, and posters. She crossed her arms, satisfied with what it turned out looking like.
Suddenly, Helga heard Eva's car pulling up in the driveway. "She's here," Helga cried, running to hide by the gate door. The crowd of people quickly became silent and hid under tables and by trees. Eva slowly opened up the gate to the decorated yard and before she could say a word, the crowd ran out from hiding and screamed Happy Birthday to her. Helga laughed and wrapped her arms around Eva's waist, kissing her cheek.
"Happy Birthday, Love." Helga whispered in her ear.
{This was just a little fanfic I made in honor of Eva's birthday today <3 This is in the "future" so when everyone is out of prison. I know it's kinda short but it's made with love! ^^}
