If there's anything he loves more than sex it's proving a point. Either through violence or again, his phony wit. If you stay on his good side, don't ask the wrong questions, or simply treat him with respect, Flynn will repay you in silent gratitude and contain himself enough to keep himself from unsettling you or hold back his violent urges around you.
