Misery Loves Company (Tag: Anastasia)

Astonished, Kida furrowed her eyebrows in perplexion as Anastasia mocked her. She was right that it did sound cliché, and given that it wasn't herself that was the source of the ridicule she would've probably laughed. Her expression was now baffled, on top of the tiredness. "Okay, then let me congratulate you on a wonderful childhood." She replied sarcastically.

Kida placed a finger on her lips as she thought. She stared into Anastasia's eyes. After a long silence, she raised an eyebrow as she finally decided on something. "You are an only child."

Anya smile "tis as they say... as wonderful life?" playing on the trope of a familiar Christmas special with a chuckle before stopping when Kida asked her next question.

Only to clap her hands like an impressed schoolgirl as she smiled with joy "oh yes! you got one right, I was without sibling..." then stopping her smile as it faded from her face and she looked at rose in silence.

Kida felt her entire face light up as she watched Anastasia's smile fade. She grinned and clasped her hands together. "I could tell, you know. I can see it in your eyes." She leaned in closer to the woman and winked. "Birds of a feather flock together." She was an only child herself, and whether or not she truly saw the answer in Anastasia's eyes was debatable and maybe a bit of an exaggeration. But, delighted as she was, Kida strongly felt like that had been the case. Leaning back again, she looked at the withered rose with only eight petals left. "Would you still like to continue playing?" Her smile was much more humble now, but her eyebrow was still arched in pride.

Anya began to giggle madly as she watch Kida's face light up before getting up as she twirls the rose in her hands with a smirk "Of course I still wanna play~ now~ lets move on to the next question~"

Kida smiled softly and then twirled her finger. "So, let's see: good childhood, good upbringing... that must mean you were like one of those unexpected plot twists in a corny mystery novel, no?"

She thought for a while again, lips puckered in thought, index finger lightly tapping her temple. Coming up with something, Kida into Anastasia's eyes and tilts her head a little bit in dread. Bluntly, she asks: "Did you kill your parents?"

Anya stopped her giggle to looking at Kida, her smile fading before she slowly moved from her position to gently walk up to Kida competely and utterly stone faced as if she was completely shaken by that guess but then. She winked and laughed again before crumbling another petal "did I kill my parents? REALLY haha, one would have to be an utter and complete psychopath for that. I cared for my parents, a completely perfect child.... neighbors said I was an angel"

Kida tilted her head and nodded. "I'm starting to understand your past a little bit more. But, at the same time I am becoming increasingly surprised, yet curious." She didn't completely mind if she got anymore wrong, as she had already gotten one favor. One favor is all she needed, as Anastasia said. But maybe she wasn't as psychotic as Kida had once believed her to be. I should have become a psychologist, Kida grumbled in her mind. "So, were your parents wealthy then?"

((OOC: So sorry for the delay! I didn't realize how long it had been since I replied. After school today, I'm going to respond like crazy so we can finish this up before the cellmate swap D: I promise!))

With that another petal crumbled "Believe me little one, a lot smarter then you have tried to guess what makes me tick" her eyes drifting from Kida to the camera in the room smirking at it as she sighed "alas the wording got you this time... my parents both were not wealthy, my father is poor but my mother is rich yet both are quite good at what they do. They divorced when I was 5"

"Well, you are very different from how I first imagined." Kida hated to admit that she found Anastasia intriguing. She still distrusted her, but wondered more and more about her. She watched the petal crumble and then looked back up to Anastasia as if unfazed. "My mother provided the income and was the only reason we lived moderately wealthy, as well."

Kida twirled a strand of her hair, recalling happy memories of her childhood, before her Mother died and everything began spiraling downhill. "I suppose you stayed with your mother after the divorce, no?"

"No... shared custody.... my father got me every other week, it was nice for they lived in the same town. The divorce was civil, but their teaching methods.... quite different" nodding her head at that setting the rose down as she just moved to go up to Kida "You know... this is the first time ive actually been so open with someone. I thought... I thought everyone would just think I was a monster after those files came up. But here you are trying to understand me. But of course I doubt you know the pain that comes with losing what you hold dear... you know even though she was always so busy and had little time for me, I did truely love my mother, I wanted to make her proud of me"

Their game had slowly morphed into a conversation. Kida did not move at all as Anastasia approached her, and did not even think twice about her laying the rose down. She looked her in the eyes and watched as she spoke. Kida moved a strand of hair from her face as she looked down. "I know the pain," she swallowed. "I lost my mother when I was 17. She had gotten Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease from medical malpractice--it was hell to watch. I saw her lose her mind and, and her life right in front of my eyes." Kida looked back up to Anastasia with somber eyes. It was years ago, but her mother had played such an integral part in her life. Perhaps they weren't too different.

Kida instinctively placed her hand over Anastasia's to comfort her. "Do you think your mother is proud of you?"

Anya's eyes went dark at the mention of Kida's mother poor woman being tortured by medical malpractice of all things... when her own mother was a doctor. Irony thy name is life. Summoning up a haunted and sad look she mirrored off of Kida after all imitation was the easiest to do for her. Turning her face away as if in shame and sadness at the thought of her mother "I dunno.... I... I just wish I could see her again.... im sorry I should not worry you with my issues. You-you have your favor I suppose, what good it will be to you? I do not know. To be honest I was just hoping you could steal something for me. im scared to be honest, im not combat trained and I know there are alot of creeps in that file. I've been lucky enough to get only women so far... I dunno whats going to happen"

Kida wasn't sure if Anastasia was maybe playing an innocent card or not, but she felt like it would be wrong if she didn't believe her. However, being ruled by her head and not her heart, Kida's mind told her to toughen up and not fall for her tricks. "If you would like, I could still..." she looked up to the camera, knowing that whatever she said would be heard and recorded. "I could still give you one favor if you'd like, courtesy of myself and not the game." She wasn't quite sure what favor she'd ask of Anastasia yet, anyway.

She furrowed her eyebrows slightly at the mention of creeps. Hadn't she tortured and raped? "Besides, your crimes alone are probably enough to scare one away, would you not agree?" Kida smiled weakly, but also raised her eyebrow a little bit in suspicion. She wasn't sure if she could ever trust her.

"Thank you.... and yes... I suppose I am a bit of a monster arn't I? thought of course the papers dont tell you who those people were 'innocent victims' the prosecution likes to spout.... issue was they were all guilty. You'd be surprised how many vices people have.... mortal sins such as wrath and greed" sighing softly as she turned away "oh well... games over... now its tied I suppose. Hopefully we can play again some time"

Kida nodded. "Greed is dangerous," she replied before breaking into a yawn. She stretched her arms in the air and then rolled her shoulders. "I think I'm going to sleep." Kida had already walked towards the wall and laid down, back turned away from Anastasia so she wouldn't know when she would fall asleep. She had to keep one eye open with this one. "Yes, we'll see about that though."
