The Melody and the Curious Notion of Silence (tag: Megara if she wants to? :P)

How long had it been since the cellmate swap had occurred? A week? Two, maybe? And how long would it take for another change to take place? Such were questions that hit the peak of Hattori Hanzö's curiosity. He had definitely underestimated the skills of the Darkstone Warden in trying to break their psyche. Losing the track of time was indeed a very good way of becoming strained from sanity and normal reason. Of course, one could retain both of these with the adequate ammount of effort, even though it was incredibly hard. He had faced worst challenges he supposed.

Sitting on his bunk, the Asian man gazed at the cold, concrete wall that was raised high and mighty close to him. He definitely felt as hollow and shady as the very pavement that kept him trapped. Being an eternal caged bird was a reality he could never reject. When the entire subject turned literal, though...all Hell was very likely to run loose.

Would there really be someone waiting for him outside the prison? He was sure he'd get out somehow. He never failed in his missions, of course. But was there really something out there? He was a good tool for his family, but now that he thought of it, never had he been graced with the emotions and the concern Megara-san displayed for the Dimitri man. All in the course of what? Some weeks? One or two months? He was over twenty. Yet he felt nothing of the sort. Was it his fault?

He'd never wake his cellmate over such trivial questions. He was not one to be overly sensitive. Yet...at these times, silence was the worst of blades shoved through his chest.

Meg rolled over on the bunk, her dreams full of images of Dimitri. Their first kiss, their first night together...and even their first fight. She longed for that time again..his touch, his smell, everything about him made her ache. The fight was the only thing she hadn't missed.
His words that stabbed her heart echoed throughout her dreams, forcing her to wake with a soft gasp and her eyes ready to unload a stream of tears. She laid still for a few long moments, taking deep breaths to slow her racing heart. Hopefully she hadn't woken Hattori...he's already delt with enough of her problems.

Staring at the void, his brow furrowed down, Hattori Hanzö had his concentration broken by a soft gasp on the bunk below him, indicating that Megara-san had awoken once more. Such an unfair life, the inmates of Darkstone had. Would they ever get to see an ending to their torment?

"Another nightmare, Megara-san?" he asked faintly, staring at the distance once more.

She sighed and closed her eyes. "Yeah..sorry if I woke you.." She stretched her arms over her head and continued to take deep breaths. Had she woken him? He's delt with her problems enough...now he has to again. Her eyes opened once again and stared into the space above her. What time was it? The middle of the night?

"No. I was up for a few minutes already." he murmured softly, his slit eyes gazing towards the distance as he stayed in place, yawning softly with a frown as he tried repressing his more negative thoughts. "We'll be swapped very soon, you know? I've been trying to keep count of the days, at least. I have a bad feeling."

She rubbed her eyes as she stretched. "Is that so...time goes by fast.." But he mentioned having a bad feeling...What could it be?
"Why do you have a bad feeling though? It happens a lot." She sat up and leaned against the wall. Don't want to fall asleep during their conversations now..
