Mulan walked through the hallway holding her backpack on one shoulder. She could hear the whispers. She wasn't dumb. These kids were dumb if they thought she didn't know. She was used to hearing them. She went to her classroom blowing bubbles of her pink bubble gum. She sat down at her desk and waited for class to start.
"Good morning class," Her teacher began. "This is a new student. She's transferred from a school in Colarado. Take a seat anywhere you like." The girl sat next to Mulan. To her left. "Don't sit too close to the Dragon." Mulan heard a girl behind her whisper. Mulan continued chewing her gum, slouching in her chair. "The Dragon?" The girl repeats, looking over at Mulan. Mulan saw her but didn't acknowledge her or return the look. "Class, once again Mulan has one academic student of the week! She's gotten all hundreds on all assignments and tests!" That was always happening. The teacher never said student of the week because Mulan kept getting in trouble for fighting. "Why is she a Dragon?" The new girl murmured. "She's quick and mean like a Dragon." The girl explained. "She's ugly like one too." The girl told her. Mulan sighed before standing.
"Now why'd you have to go and say that?" She stands up and turns around to face the girl. "Mulan!" The teacher knew all too well what happened next. "Because it's true stupid Dragon!" Mulan ran up to the girl, narrowly escaping the teacher's grip and punched the girl in her face. The girl slammed into the ground, hitting the table on her way down. Blood escapes the cut on the girl's temple. But that wasn't enough. Mulan kicked the girl and got down on her knees to punch her again. The teacher quickly picks Mulan up. Mulan kicks the girl on her way off of the ground. The teacher told Mulan to sit in the corner while someone escorted the girl to the nurse. Mulan slouches in this chair as well. "She's really scary." The new was saying as the other kids did group work. "She's not. If you know how to fight she isn't scary. I can fight." the friend of the other girl was saying. She looked at Mulan. Mulan held her eyes with a menacing glare. The girl got up and picked up Mulan's backpack. Mulan calmly watches her. The girl dumped its contents. When will they learn? Mulan stood up. "I dare you!" The girl challenges. Oh hell no. Mulan stands taking the chair she was in with her. Mulan hurls it across the room at the girl. Mulan quickly sprints behind it. The girl took cover. Once she stood up, she was met with Mulan's fist. As if in slow motion. She hit the ground the same as the other girl. She immediately gets up and reaches for Mulan's hair. Mulan spins and kicks her in the head.
I highly recommend putting Mulan in an alternative education. She's extremely dangerous. She fights nearly every day, I would've expelled her long ago if you weren't my friend Lee.
I understand Jack. Thank you.
"All right Tuesday! Knockout! Watch Coach wallace carefully!l Mulan scoreless the teens in their division. if four eight year olds can do it, anyone can. "All right first up! Go!-Blake wins!" Mulan's eyes widen. The teen didn't even finish her walk over and the Blake chick was done. "Next up! Fa! Go!" Too busy watching the Blake girl, she tripped on her walk over. She forces herself through the movement. Mulan round offs and hears the girl's feet landingand disappearing on the matt. She could feel it too. Mulan back flips and back tucks. She hears the girl's feet land. "Whoa that was a close call huh Fa? Blake wins! Next!"
"Hey you!" A voice calls. Mulan ignored it taking the water bottle from the counter where they get their water breaks. She was the last one. Everyone else had went outside to wait for their parents. Mulan turned to seethe Blake girl. "Good job outthere today!" The girl smiled. Mulan turns to leave, the girl blocks her path. "You rushed into yourmovement. That's why your execution wasn't perfect. If you just take your time-" Mulan's fist balls up and she punches the girl in the eye. Then again. And went all out on her torso.
Mulan Sat alone at lunch as always. She wasn't hungry. She just chewed her gum. Suddenly, someone sat in front of her. "I'm Kaila," It was the Blake girl. And she was... talking to her. But why? She'd given her a black eye. "Why are you..." Mulan just goggles at the girl. "What's your name?" Mulan's eyes narrow suspiciously. "Why?" "I don't want to call you Dragon like the others." "Hey Kaila! That's the Dragon. Come sit with us! She's a loser." A boy calls. Mulan stands, "Who's a loser?" "I'm trying to talk with my friend so fuck off!" Kaila turned back to Mulan and smiles. Mulan just stared, before walking away and being followed by her.
Kaila...Blake..
Three days later,
"You're scared. Scared of welcoming someone into your life. Because it's never happened before. I think you don't want to be hurt." Kaila said. "So what if I'm scared!" Mulan shouted they stood at the park after tumbling. Kaila smiles, "it's okay Mulan. You have me. I won't let anyone hurt you. It's okay to show feelings around me. It's okay to cry." Mulan scoffed, "I can't fight tears that aren't coming." But before she knew it, she was looking up at the sky, tears streaming her face. Mulan starts to laugh, Kaila couldn't tell whether it was a laugh or a sob. She walked up to Mulan and smiles. She wraps her arms around her. "You know your eyesare always so scary. Right now they're different."
Kaila Blake. Mulan's first and best friend.
"Mulan, does it make you happy you're so strange?"
