DINNER DATE #1 Dimitri Donahue & Megara Jessabelle Rose

"Oh, Odette's brother? Hopefully you two haven't gotten into any fights." She tried to joke a little but it didn't really help. She finished her beer and set it back on the table. "Hattori Hanzo." She picked a few berries out of the bowl and held them in her hands. It was getting harder to get him to even talk to her, look at her. They should be using this time to be together one last time..before he has to leave for good. But he obviously didn't want that. He still hated her..

He smiled a little at her futile attempt at a joke, but it wasn't an honest smile, and it disappeared again once she mentioned her cellmate. He remembered Hattori vaguely from the folder. He had been the guy to fight with her slaver hadn't he? He was so strong and dangerous and... muscular... he couldn't tell if he was mostly scared for Megara or if he was jealous of her cellmate. It didn't look like she was hurt though... so it was mostly the latter...

"He's pretty nice...doesn't talk much." She ate the berries and sat awkwardly for a few moments. "Dimitri...do you hate me?" She didn't look up at him, just let her fingers play with the fabric on her knee. His answer would either kill her, or save her. It was something she had to know.

He looked up at her then. Was that really what she believed, that he hated her? He could never hate Megara, even if he tried his best to. "No.." he answered simply. He almost wanted to tell her he loved her again, but that would be too stupid and forward now. Uttering those words wouldn't lead to anything good.
"I could never hate you.." he said instead, for once not lowering his glance. What he had been afraid of had happened, now he couldn't look away from her, and that only made his heart ache so infinatly much more.

She let out a sigh of relief at his answer. Thank god..
Her gaze slowly moved to look at him, relieved that what she had feared hadn't been true. He looked so different now..Nothing had really changed except his hair was a litle longer, but still, something felt different. She couldn't break her gaze at him. All she wanted was to see him again, and now he was here. But what now..

He couldn't take his eyes off of her and realized a little too late they were both staring at each other. Suddenly, once he grasped the situation, he blushed embarrased and looked down instantly, grabbing another handful of berries. That cake was looking more and more delicious the longer they waited with it.
"Want some cake..?" he asked awkwardly, mostly to kill the silence while he finished the rest of his beer.

She hadn't realized they had been staring at each other for so long, instantly snapping out of it when he broke the gaze and spoke. "Oh uh..sure." Her cheeks blushed red as she looked away from him, down to the ground. She could feel her heart racing but couldn't stop it. He had such an effect on her, it was uncanny.

Dimitri carefully sliced two huge pieces from the cake, and put her piece in front of her. More than half of the cake was still left, and he doubted they'd be able to eat any more of it. He could barely even imagine himself finishing this big piece. After eating so little for so long these amounts of food seemed humongous to him. His stomach was already killing him, but he didn't care.
He didn't look back up. It hurt less than he instinctively thought it would to see her again, but it still hurt.

"Thanks..." She picked at the cake with her fork, not really feeling like eating it. "Are you excited to leave this place?" She didn't look up at him, not wanting to see the expression on his face when he responded. The idea of never seeing him again was so painful...so lonely. She just stared at the cake infront of her, not even moving, barely breathing. Every breath made her feel like she would fall apart.

He nodded, not even sure if she saw him, so he added a small "yeah..".
Who wouldn't get excited to leave this place? Specially now. The sooner he left this place, the better. Part of him never wanted to leave Megara, but now that it was inevitable he'd rather it be as soon as possible. There was no point prolonging his misery. Besides, the sooner he got out of here, the sooner he could forget.
He stood up, reached over, and grabbed himself another beer bottle. He already felt the buzz, but it just wasn't enough.

She glanced up at him as he stood up from the table. Couldn't blame him..
"I'm sure your mother and sister will be happy to see you..." She felt like she needed another drink, but debated whether it was a smart idea or not. She could end up doing something she would regret and maybe even push him further away. Probably not the smartest thing to do...

He kept drinking, his constant, bothering thoughts distracting him and making him not even realize Megara was speaking. He set the second beerbottle down on the table, having almost drunk all of it already, but not even having finished before he reached for a third one. He hated the taste, but loved the buzzing feeling it gave him. He loved the slight distraction, and the ability to just get lost in the alcohol and ignore everything else.

She watched him as he drank, not moving from her seat. Was he drinking just to be able to stand being around her? The thought saddened her. He didn't hate her yet he could barely stand being around her. "Dimitri? Are you ok?" She looked at him and waited for an answer, but expected not to get one.

"Yeah, sure, of course," he said and took another sip without looking at her. He was starting to move his feet nervously. Maybe he shouldn't have stood up where his nervous ticks were so much more obvious to her. "Why wouldn't I be?" he said and took another large swallow, letting the alcohol numb him.

She sighed and stood up, walking over to get a drink but keeping some distance from him, just in case. "You're just acting different...I just wanted to make sure." She grabbed a soda, thinking it would be better than alcohol. Maybe he was already getting a little drunk? He did have three beers already.

[OOC: I am so sorry, this was the last week before vacation, and it's always pretty hectic >.< I absolutely hate being inactive like this >.< I do love roleplaying with you >.<]

Dimitri surpressed the urge to burp, as well as the urge to look after her when she got up. He had probably had those beers a little too fast, but he didn't regret it. They were starting to work and do their purpose.
He noticed she wasn't getting a beer for herself, and he knew he had already had his three of the sixpack. Instead of answering, he asked her, "Could I take one of your beers..?"
It was such a rude question, he knew that the moment he'd asked. In a sober condition he never would have raised his voice, maybe just taken a glass of wine instead. It was too late to take it back now however.

She gave him a soft smile before she turned and sat in the grass a few feet away. "Sure, go right ahead." It was getting a little warm the longer they were outside, so she unzipped the top portion of her jumpsuit and tied the arms around her waist so it wouldn't fall down. The breeze felt cool on her skin as she laid back in the grass, just enjoying the outdoors.
If he wanted to get drunk, he could go right ahead. It was his choice. It was probably the only way he could tolerate her now...

He glanced at her discreetly, so she wouldn't notice, but didn't speak. He grabbed a fourth beer and downed it, and then a fifth one. He was definitively feeling it by now. He really did enjoy being outdoors for a change, but the alcohol made his mind a blur, making him incapable of really appreciating anything right now.
As he grabbed his sixth beer his glancing at her wasn't quite so discreet anymore, but it didn't look like she was looking his way anyway. He took a sip and laid his head on top of his arms on the table. Alcohol always got him tired...

She tilted her head to the side and caught his glance only for a split second before he looked away. If she would have known she was meeting him right after Cillian, she wouldn't have done anything. It was obvious that it hurt him, but he had done the same thing with another girl too. It was all in the past so they couldn't do anything to change it anyway...

With all these toxins in his blood, it was hard to remember why he needed to stay away from her, why it was a bad idea to go over and take her in his arms and kiss her right now. However, his drunk self trusted his sober self enough not to do anything. There had to be a reason, and he'd made enough drunk mistakes in his life.
He finished his sixth and last beer and closed his eyes, feeling the light breeze and the warm sun on his skin. He couldn't remember if he had missed it or not, but it sure was an amazing feeling now that it was back.

She pushed up on her elbows and looked over at him. He seemed to be enjoying being outside. Anyone would considering how long they were cooped up in a dark prison. "Lay on the grass...it feels better." It truly did. The grass was warm from the sun but the breeze just made it even better. She laid back down and crossed her ankles. How long would they be out here?

He rubbed his eyes and looked over at her. His vision was becoming blurry. He probably shouldn't drink any more.
He walked over, after accidentally kicking his chair and almost losing his balance, and sat down next to her. He didn't say anything, because he didn't know what to say. Instead of let his fingers slide through the grass. She had been right, this really did feel a lot better.

She just looked up into the sky, watching the clouds as they moved across. It had been so long since she had done this. It felt so peaceful.
She closed her eyes for a few moments just to take it all in. It's going to be such a disappointment when they have to go back inside...

Sliding his fingers through the grass while looking up to the sky he accidentally found her hand. Instead of instantly moving away from her hand and appologizing, he left it there for a while paralyzed, before he slid his hand over hers and held it in his.
He didn't know why he did it, and he couldn't remember why he shouldn't, but it felt nice. It felt natural, and a kind of nice ending to their short chapter together. He still didn't dare looking at her though, and kept staring up at the sky.

She felt warmth from his hand on hers and opened her eyes, looking up at him. It had surprised her but she didn't say anything. If she did, he would freak out and ignore her again.
A small smile came across her lips as she closed her eyes again, leaving their hands as is, savoring the feeling. Who knows when she would feel it again.
